Resumen

The Ninth International Conference on White Architecture [Material and Form], organised by the Cátedra Blanca Valencia, will take place on 23, 24 and 25 March 2021. Due to the current circumstances, this edition will have a different format: firstly, the conferences will be held one per day and in the afternoon; secondly, attendance will follow a mixed formula that combines face-to-face attendance (only for those registered, meeting the current capacity of the Auditorium of the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia) and online streaming through the Microsoft Teams platform. Every year, both the conferences on Material and Form [MYF] and the International Conference on White Architecture [CIAB] bring to this university the best international architecture studios that use fair-faced concrete as the main material for their projects.This year, despite the physical obstacles we have to deal with, we do not want to miss the opportunity to listen and discuss live with architects from France, Spain and Norway-Denmark all the possibilities offered by fair-faced concrete as a noble material in contemporary architecture. As always, the result of the conference is the book [MYF9], which will join the existing publications created by the Cátedra Blanca Valencia. All of them, widely distributed in university libraries and specialised bookshops, make up a catalogue of architecture specific to fair-faced concrete that is unique in the world.
